Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia. A progressive disorder, it destroys brain cells, which causes cognitive decline and memory loss.

Most common among older adults, Alzheimer’s disease is typically diagnosed in those above the age of 65. However, Alzheimer’s disease can also strike younger people. In cases like this, it is referred to as early-onset Alzheimer’s disease.
